Heart Evangelista to share how she overcame challenges in 'Heart World' season 2

Heart Evangelista is set to open up on dark moments and challenges in her life on the upcoming season of "Heart World."

"Nandun tayo sa real life, the messy life. And that's what life is, our life can be a mess," Heart said in an exclusive interview with Nelson Canlas on "24 Oras."

Heart is also showing her newfound courage, after going through what she describes as one of the darkest periods in her life: months of negative comments on social media from political issues.

"Parang in life, you do go through bigat na atensyon as we get older," Heart said. "When you're in the industry, you get burned from the sun from time to time. But as you age, you gain wisdom from everything so tumataas nang tumataas 'yung immunity mo. So siguro 'yun 'yung sukatan ng kung bakit ako nakatayo now."

The Global Fashion Icon said she is living for herself more.

"Alam ko kung mararating ko 'yung mga pangarap ko, alam ko kung ipagpapatuloy ko 'yung pinagtrabahuan ko ng 28 years, mas marami pa 'kong magagawa sa mundo. And that for me, is just for myself," she said.

The actress added that as part of living for herself, she has to be in the right state of mind to keep her relationships intact.

"I really needed to heal myself and focus on myself because it's my career and my dream, and nobody else's."

Heart said that the "silver lining" in her dark moments would be the relationship with her mom.

"Bumalik kami sa parang dati," she said. "I needed that solid backbone to be inserted again."

"Siya na 'yung ano ko, comfort blanket," Heart added.

Heart said that "Heart World" Season 2 is a roller coaster. As a reality show, it will present "what's really happening."

"I'm prepared to present that. I've always been very transparent naman," the actress said. "Can be entertaining for some, can be dangerous for me." —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA Integrated News
