AiAi delas Alas says she has forgiven ex-husband Gerald Sibayan: 'I deserve rest'

AiAi delas Alas said that she has already forgiven her ex-husband Gerald Sibayan, choosing peace for herself despite the pain she went through.

On Thursday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Comedy Queen was asked if she and Gerald have crossed paths or spoken to each other since their separation.

"No. Wala. I think, siguro, God's will muna na hindi kami—Pero alam mo nakakatawa, ama, kahit 'yung second ex-husband ko, hindi ko pa rin nakikita hanggang ngayon," AiAi said.

When asked if she has forgiven, AiAi answered in the affirmative.

"Oh, yes. Napatawad ko na sila. I forgive them not because it didn't hurt, but because I deserve rest," she said.

The actress also addressed her decision to sell her wedding ring to Boss Toyo, explaining that it was part of her healing process.

She first joked that she sold it to earn money, AiAi later clarified that she wanted the ring out of sight and out of mind.

"Para hindi ko na lang din makita. And kasi 'yun 'yung parang requirement din na ano 'yung puwede mong maibenta na may kahulugan. So, 'yung sa akin, binenta ko kasi ayoko na, pero, sabi ko nga, kumbaga my pain will turn into something," she said.

AiAi added that part of the proceeds was donated to a cancer-related cause.

AiAi said in an October 2024 "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" interview that she and Gerald have separated after 10 years of being together.
