Ashley Sarmiento, Krystal Mejes make it to Ultimate 8

Ashley Sarmiento and Krystal Mejes are now part of the Ultimate 8 in the "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0."

For the last Big Jump Challenge, the housemates had to hold and balance blocks on a board.

Kapuso housemates Ashley, Marco Masa, and Princess Aliyah competed against each other, while Heath Jornales was eliminated earlier due to the number of blocks.

Ashley outlasted Marco and Princess and cried after she was declared the winner.

"Sobra sobrang pasasalamat ko talaga kay Lord, Kuya," Ashley said in the Confession Room. "Sobra sobrang masaya po talaga 'ko Kuya kasi sobrang hirap na hirap po talaga 'ko, sobrang hindi ko na po alam kung san ako kakapit, Kuya.

"Ipapatuloy ko lang po Kuya kung ano 'yung nasimulan ko at kung ano po 'yung ginagawa ko dito sa bahay n'yo Kuya," Ashley said. "I'll do my very best talaga po Kuya hanggang sa pinaka dulo."

Kapamilya housemates Krystal, Joaquin Arce, and Miguel Vergara competed in the same challenge. Like Heath, Carmelle Collado was already eliminated.

Krystal likewise shed tears when she won the Ultimate 8 spot.

"Binigyan po ako ng desire ni God sa puso ko and it's for me to fight until the end Kuya because andito na po ako sa bahay n'yo Kuya, and I don't wanna lose the chance Kuya na maipanalo ko po," she said in the Confession Room.

Previously, Caprice Cayetano and Lella Ford advanced to the Ultimate 8.

The "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" Big Night will be on February 28. The show airs on GMA Network weeknights at 9:40 p.m., Saturdays at 6:15 p.m., and Sundays at 10:05 p.m. —Nika/MGP, GMA Integrated News
