Mark Bautista narrates Christian Bautista's supportive attitude when he came out in 2018

Mark Bautista and Christian Bautista opened up on their friendship on "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Wednesday.

The singers talked about what happened when Mark came out as bisexual in 2018 in his book, “Beyond the Mark.”

According to Christian, he read the news of Mark’s coming out at that time and told him, “Hey, I’m your friend, no matter what and I’m here for you.”

Mark added, “That’s what I like about Christian also. Kasi when things were parang uncomfortable, hindi siya ‘yung parang dumistansya or hindi siya ‘yung parang na-fi-feel mo na nawala or something.”

Mark said he decided to write the book because he felt his story was inspiring, and that he has no regrets about it.

“I’m actually very, very happy,” he said.

Since then, Christian and Mark’s friendship has further strengthened with Christian saying Mark has become close to his wife, Kat Ramnani. Mark added that they often go out and play pickleball.

Christian and Mark are having a joint concert, “Bautista X Bautista,” on March 6 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. — Nika Roque/LA, GMA Integrated News
