Miss Universe Philippines introduces new fan voting system for 2026 competition
Miss Universe Philippines is introducing a new fan voting system for its 2026 competition, allowing the public to cast daily votes for their favorite candidates.
According to a press release from the organization, the initiative aims to give fans a more active role in the pageant leading up to coronation night.
Fans will also have the opportunity to participate in live voting during the coronation.
Votes submitted through the Maya app will be integrated into the overall selection process alongside expert evaluations, influencing the announcement of semifinalists.
“This is your chance to be heard. Fans throughout the country and also throughout the world can participate through secure and accessible voting, where public participation is not symbolic but truly impactful,” Miss Universe Philippines Executive Vice President Voltaire Tayag said.
The voting period will be open for a limited time ahead of coronation night, with the full timeline to be posted on the official Miss Universe Philippines social media accounts.
Fans can also unlock free daily votes by upgrading their Maya accounts.
“In the voting platform we’re launching together with Miss Universe Philippines, everyone can choose their candidate and vote for free every day — that’s empowerment,” Maya Head of New Business and Customer Lifetime Value Christopher Ray Manguera said. “You make your voice heard, and you get to help choose the next Miss Universe Philippines.”
Fifty-one beauty queens are competing for this year’s Miss Universe Philippines.
They were officially introduced during the pageant's official press presentation at the City of Dreams Manila, Parañaque, on Monday afternoon.
The winner will be crowned by Ahtisa Manalo. — LA, GMA Integrated News
