Hilda Koronel was "supposed to do a film" with Nora Aunor when the Superstar suddenly died.

On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda" Thursday, the veteran actress recalled her early days, how she was discovered in the LVN compound, and her contemporaries.

"Sina Nora (Aunor), Vilma (Santos), Tirso (Cruz III)," Hilda began, when the King of Talk decided to focus on the late Super Star having seen Hilda's touching social media tribute for her last year.

"We were supposed to do a film, you know" Hilda said. "Nag-meeting na kami ng aming director si Adolfo Alix Jr., na sa'kin na yung script. And then after a week, she passed."

"That was really sad for me," Hilda said.

The Superstar died in April 2025 at the age of 71.

According to her son Ian de Leon, Nora died of acute respiratory failure. As local celebrities mourned her passing, the world also took notice of Nora's death. 

A National Artist for film and broadcast, Nora was laid to rest at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. 

Hilda meanwhile is returning to Philippine cinema with the spy thriller "Sisa," to begin showing on March 4. — LA, GMA Integrated News
