Ellen Adarna reacts to claims about Derek Ramsay being a 'good provider' for daughter Liana

Ellen Adarna has addressed public claims regarding the financial support provided by Derek Ramsay for their daughter, Liana.

In a December 19 upload on Cristy Fermin’s YouTube show “Showbiz Now Na!,” Cristy said that Liana is well taken care of because of Derek's support.

“Ang balita, apat na yaya pa ang kasama ni Ellen ngayon na sila talaga ang nagbigay ng mommy niya. May apat na yaya, pagkatapos merong nilipatan na bahay, kasama pa ‘yung allowance ni Lili, so secure siya,” the showbiz columnist said.

Ellen responded to these claims in a series of Instagram Stories, calling them "misleading and unfair."

“Let's set the record straight. Truth matters. Facts matter. And credit should always be given where it is due,” Ellen wrote.

She added that after not receiving contributions for several months, she told Derek’s assistant: “No sustento, no Lili. That simple.”

“I am not demanding anything beyond what is fair but I will not allow a father to live comfortably just cooling his balls while having little to no contribution to his child because he gets to see her almost everyday,” Ellen added.

The actress claimed that it was only after she called him out did Derek provide a credit card with a P50,000 limit, which she noted covers just 55.80% of Lili’s actual expenses.

She also set the record straight about her staff.

“Neither he nor his mother has ever paid for my yayas or household staff. Not now. Not even when we were married. I paid for my own staff,” she said.

Ellen shared that she has five nannies, two of whom care for Lili, and that Derek and his family only paid for one nanny. She also said she covered groceries and housing herself.

“So please, let's stop being delusional and stop branding someone as a ‘good provider’ when the numbers and reality say otherwise. A real provider doesn't wait to be called out. He gives willingly. He takes initiative. He doesn't rely on words, flexing, or public image,” Ellen said.

When asked by a follower about contributions prior to the credit card, Ellen claimed that Derek had provided nothing from October 2025 until January 2026.

“So, came January, I had it, my family was like, ‘Nope, don't tolerate that sh-t. If he doesn't give anything, then no Lili.’ That simple. So that's when I called them out, and I think they panicked. Nothing man,” she said.

The credit card arrived less than two weeks ago, Ellen said.

“‘Yan na ‘yan. And then grabe magka-flex ng cars and all that. So, you know, you see where his priorities are. Like, Oh my God.” 

Ellen and Derek got married in November 2021. They welcomed Liana in October 2024.
