Marian Rivera bares her most important judging criterion for 'Stars on the Floor' season 2

Marian Rivera returns as the Dance Authority in the second season of “Stars on the Floor.”

On Tuesday’s media conference for GMA Network’s original dance reality competition program, the Kapuso Primetime Queen shared her most important criterion when judging the contestants’ performances.

Apart from their technical skills and dance abilities, Marian said it is important for her to see the contestants having fun on stage.

"Palagi kong sinasabi na every time na nanonood ako, gusto kong nakikitang nag-e-enjoy sila," she told the members of the press.

[I always say I want to see them enjoy every time I watch them.]

“Importante talaga sa 'kin 'yung nakikita ko na in-e-enjoy nila ‘yung bawat pag-indak nila,” she added. “’Yun ang malaking points sa’kin.”

[That's important to me, to see them enjoying their every move. That earns high points for me.]

Apart from her acting career, Marian said her love for dancing has always been a huge part of who she is.

“Kapag nasa dugo mo talaga na hilig mo sumayaw, talagang kahit anong tigil mo, sasayaw at sasayaw ka [pa rin] talaga,” she said. “Love ko talaga ang pagsasayaw, at hindi ‘yan mawawala.”

[When it's in your blood, you will keep dancing, no matter how many times you try to stop. I really love dancing and that will never change.]

When asked whether she is open to performing in a dance concert in the future, Marian responded, “Why not?”

“Kung kasama ko sila [‘Stars on the Floor’ contestants], why not, ‘di ba?” she said.

The second season of "Stars on the Floor" features quite the stellar lineup. Rocco Nacino, Paul Salas, Sugar Mercado of SexBomb Girls, and Chanty of Lapillus have been named as the celebrity dance stars.

Joining them on the show are P-pop idols HORI7ON’s Jeromy, Alamat’s Jao, KAIA’s Sophia, Calista’s Denise, and 1st.One’s Joker.

Meanwhile, Jasmine Curtis-Smith was revealed as Season 2’s Mystery Celebrity Dance Star, while Alden Richards returns as the show’s host.

"Stars on the Floor" Season 2 airs Sundays at 7:15 p.m. on GMA Network.
