Heart Evangelista, mom Cecilia Ongpauco encounter home robbery in Paris

Heart Evangelista and her mom, Cecilia Ongpauco, experienced a break-in at the actress’s apartment in Paris last month.

In a YouTube vlog on February 23, Ogie Diaz reported about the incident and initially narrating it as a blind item. He described a “fashionistang actress” whose apartment abroad was allegedly entered by an intruder before naming Heart and her mom.

“Hindi yata naisara lahat o nagamit lahat ‘yung lock ng door para completely maisara ‘yung pinto. So napasok sila eh kasama niya nanay niya nung araw na ‘yon. Pinasok sa kwarto. Naloka daw itong si fashionistang actress,” Ogie said.

Cecilia was said to be close to panicking during the incident, but Heart allegedly remained calm and tried to stop her mother from reacting by holding her hand.

“Buti na lang kamo, may presence of mind ‘yung fashionistang actress. ‘Yung mommy niya eh maghi-hysterical. Buti na lang naawat niya, napiga niya 'yung kamay, parang ‘Wag kang mag-react.’ Pinakalma niya by pressing her hands,” he said.

An alarm later went off inside the apartment, prompting the intruder to flee.

“Ang nabitbit niya, ‘yung bag na merong isang semi-precious stone,” he said.

Cecilia joined Heart at the recent Paris Fashion Week, marking the first time they traveled together for an extended period in years.
