Marian Rivera wins Best Actress of the Year at PAFTA for 'Balota'
Marian Rivera won Best Actress for the Year at the first Philippine Arts, Film, and Television Awards (PAFTA) for her role as Teacher Emmy in “Balota."
In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" on Wednesday, the Kapuso Primetime Queen expressed her gratitude for the recognition and continued support for the film.
“Nakakataba ng puso,” she said.
Marian tied with Rebecca Chuaunsu for “Her Locket" for the Best Actress for the Year award at PAFTA, which was organized by the Philippine Academy of Film and Television Arts.
She also won the Best Actress awards at the Cinemalaya Film Festival 2024 and FAMAS Awards 2025 for “Balota.”
Meanwhile, Marian has returned as the head of the Dance Authority of “Stars on the Floor” Season 2 this month. She said she is proud that dancers have the platform to showcase their talents.
"Stars on the Floor" airs on Sundays at 7:15 p.m. at GMA Network.
