Marco Masa, Carmelle Collado say 'walang personalan' in intense 'Tapatan' challenge

This week, the “Ultimate Tapatan” challenge saw the Ultimate 8 answer burning questions from the public, as well as former housemates of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.”

In an interview with GMA News Online, Thursday, recently evicted housemates Marco Masa and Carmelle Collado shared their experience being on the opposite side of the Ultimate 8 during the challenge. 

According to Marco, he looked at the “Tapatan” challenge as an opportunity for the public to get to know the Ultimate 8 better. 

"Kumbaga, naging instrumento kami para mas makilala sila," he said. 

"Personally para sa ‘kin, mas mahalaga ‘yung papaano ko sila nakilala. Kumbaga ‘yung ginawa naming ‘Tapatan,’ it’s our way of helping the Ultimate 8 housemates na masabi nila ‘yung mga gusto nilang sabihin, maipakita nila, at maipakilala nila ‘yung sarili nila para ma-determine ng taumbayan kung sino talaga ‘yung deserving maging Big Winner.”

The Sparkle star added that he enjoyed “Tapatan” and that it “was really a fun experience.”

Meanwhile, Carmelle admitted that she found it hard to ask questions to Krystal Mejes and Miguel Vergara.

“Kasi nung time na ‘yun, ‘di ko po alam ‘yung way na pag-approach po sa kanila lalong-lalo na na alam ko na close po kami,” the Kapamilya talent said.

“But ‘yun nga po, tinake po namin ‘yun as task po ni Kuya na kailangan po namin talagang dikdikin sila para mailabas ‘yung totoong personalities po nila at matulungan po ‘yung mga taong-bayan na piliin or makapili kung sino ba dapat ang Big Winner,” Carmelle said.

She underscored that the "Tapatan" challenge was not personal. 

“Walang personalan because it’s a task po talaga,” she said. 

She also recalled that the ex-housemates were all in one room during “Tapatan” and that they all had a good time.

“Talagang sobrang saya lang po talaga,” Carmelle said. “It’s just mag-d-depende na lang po sa ‘min kung paano po ‘yung approach namin and kung paano po sasagutin ng mga housemates.”

The remaining housemates dubbed the Ultimate 8 are Heath Jornales, Caprice Cayetano, Princess Aliyah, Ashley Sarmiento, Lella Ford, Krystal Mejes, Miguel Vergara, and Joaquin Arce.

The "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" Big Night is happening on February 28.
