KZ Tandingan is now an independent artist

KZ Tandingan is entering a new era.

On Sunday, she announced that has officially become an independent artist.

In her statement, she thanked everybody for supporting her "In Between" concerts with husband TJ Monterde, which ran for four nights at the Araneta Coliseum.

"That experience will always be one of the biggest milestones of my life. It was loud and historic and overwhelming in the best way," KZ said.

"But in the middle of that big moment, something very personal was unfolding too. With the love and support of my first home, Star Music, my management, my family, and my ever-supportive husband, I've stepped into a new season," she added.

She said it is a move that is both exciting and scary.

"I'm still finding my footing, still learning as I go. But I'm choosing courage. I'm choosing growth. I'm choosing to trust myself," she said.

KZ also shared that on the fourth night of their concert, she performed the song, "Sinong Magmamahal Sa 'Kin?" which is her first independent release.

"I wrote it for my sister — and for anyone who's always been the strong one. The one who holds everything together, even when they're quietly breaking," KZ said.

"It's for the people who rarely get asked if they're okay. The ones who carry so much but still show up with love. And deep down, they're just hoping someone will see them too," she added.

In this new chapter, KZ said she is "holding onto hope — that growth will meet me where fear lives, that courage will meet me where doubt tries to settle."

"If this song finds you in a quiet, tired place, I hope it reminds you that your strength doesn't make you less deserving of care. You are allowed to be held, too," KZ said.

"Thank you for staying. Thank you for walking with me through every in between."

KZ is best known for her renditions of "'Till My Heartaches End" and "Two Less Lonely People in the World."

She was also featured in her husband TJ Monterde's song, "Palagi."
