What's next for Caprice Cayetano after 'PBB Collab: 2.0'?
Caprice Cayetano lived inside Bahay ni Kuya for 126 days. In a span of almost four months, the Demure Daughter ng Quezon City's authenticity shone through, and she was named the ultimate Kapuso Big Winner of "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0."
In an exclusive interview with GMA News Online, the 17-year-old Sparkle artist said that she is still overwhelmed by all the support she has been receiving from the outside world even though it has only been two days since her big win on the reality show,
"Dalawang araw pa lang, pero grabe, punong-puno ng pagmamahal 'yung puso ko, puno ng positivity," she said.
Soon after the Big Night on February 28 at the Crossroads Center stage in Quezon City, Caprice said the first thing she did was reunite with her family and talk about her experience inside the "PBB" house.
"Sobrang masaya ako noong gabing 'yun, pero inuna ko talaga kausapin 'yung family ko before ako mag-social media," she said.
"Naikwento ko sa kanila 'yung mga happy moments ko, tsaka ngayon unti-unti akong nag-so-social media dahil gusto ko rin ma-enjoy and para makapag-thank you sa lahat ng sumusuporta sakin," she added.
Back in showbiz
The day after the Big Night, GMA Network announced that an upcoming TV project dubbed "Pangarap na Ginto" awaits Caprice and Heath Jornales, the Kapuso Second Big Placer.
According to Caprice, she is about to meet with Sparkle and GMA executives to get up to speed on her upcoming projects.
"May tiwala ako at nagpapasalamat ako sa GMA sa lahat ng plano at magiging projects ko soon," she said.
"Wala pa akong alam, mag-mi-meeting pa lang kami pero nagtitiwala ako sa kanila," she added.
[I don't know anything yet. We're just about to get on a meeting but I trust them.]
As of writing, other details regarding the Kapuso series are still under wraps.
Culinary dreams
Apart from acting, Caprice is also looking forward to returning to her studies and eventually following in her father's footsteps, Chef Jorge Mendez, as she plans to become a pastry chef.
"Homeschooled ako ngayon, so gusto ko makapagtapos ng pag-aaral," she said.
"'Yung pagiging pastry chef, gusto ko 'yun o kaya business," she added.
Now that she's in the outside world, Caprice said that she is looking forward to enjoying her father's own spin on chicken inasal.
"'Yung dish na lagi ko nilo-look forward, 'yung chicken inasal ni daddy," she said. "Minsa- minsan lang 'yun, pero grabe 'yung rice ko doon."
When it comes to her father's restaurants, she also shared that her favorite is Some Thai, a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand awardee.
Earlier, Caprice announced she would donate part of her P1 million cash prize from "PBB Collab 2.0" to the Little Ark Foundation, which helps underprivileged Filipino children with serious illnesses.
