Krystal Mejes, Heath Jornales open up on how they deal with online bashing

Krystal Mejes and Heath Jornales shared how they deal with online bashing and criticism, admitting that while they read comments, they also choose which ones to take to heart.

On Wednesday’s “Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,” the young stars were asked if they make it a habit to scroll through comments on social media.

“Yeah, I read comments a lot. Also messages from my fans and supporters,” Krystal said.

When asked if she can handle bashing and harsh criticism, Krystal acknowledged that listening to feedback is part of the job.

“I think, at some point, I have to because kailangan naming makinig sa mga criticisms in order for me to—,” she said, before noting that some comments go beyond constructive criticism. “Those, I don't. I try to be unbothered.”

Heath shared a similar approach.

“Gano’n din po. I read comments din po and kunyari may mga bashing po, sometimes I just use it to improve myself. ‘Yung mga super wild ones, I just try not to be bothered by it,” he said.

Pressed further on how she manages to stay unaffected, especially when comments seem baseless, Krystal said she grounds herself in what she knows to be true.

“For me, siguro Tito Boy, because I know my truth. So I always go back to that. Bumabalik ako doon. It's just what they think, what they see, what they feel. But it's not the truth, and it's not coming from me,” she said.

Krystal and Heath are the Second Big Placers of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0.”

Throughout the season, viewers followed all the formed groups that braved the weekly challenges and faced the tough tasks inside the house.

The season featured appearances from notable celebrity guests, including Vice Ganda, Gladys Reyes, Miguel Tanfelix, Bianca Gonzalez, Ruru Madrid, and more.

Fans were also treated to the season’s most memorable loveteams, from CarTon to CapEath, which kept viewers swooning throughout the episodes.
