Bianca Umali marks 26th birthday with reflections on faith and self-discovery

Bianca Umali marked her 26th birthday with a reflective message about stepping back from the noise and reconnecting with herself and her faith.

On social media, the Sparkle star shared a lengthy post, saying she chose to “turn the volume of the world all the way down,” intentionally disconnecting from outside distractions to focus on her spiritual journey.

“I stepped back for a while. Turned the volume of the world all the way down. Let the notifications rest. Let the noise pass. The connection lines were intentionally switched off - not out of distance, but out of devotion. Because while I was unreachable to many, my spiritual connection was the strongest it has ever been,” the actress said.

According to Bianca, the period of quiet allowed her to hear and feel more clearly.

“There’s something powerful about withdrawing just enough to remember who you are without the world telling you who to be,” she said.

Bianca did not plan anything for her birthday and simply allowed the day to unfold, she said, and in doing so,"Everything unfolded exactly the way it was meant to."

"Not by my design. But by His,” she said.

It is yet another way to practice and embrace uncertainty and spontaneity, finding “quiet freedom in welcoming the unknown instead of trying to control it.”

“I hope life gives me many more reasons to smile - enough to leave more lines on my face. And I hope it gives a few more scars along the way too… the kind that remind me that I lived fully, loved deeply, and showed up for the journey.”

She ended her message by thanking those who remembered her and sent their greetings, saying she felt the love even during her “quiet season.”

“I carry that kind of love gently and with gratitude. I’m learning that peace isn’t found in being constantly connected. It’s found in knowing when to disconnect - so you can reconnect where it truly matters. I had no plans. But God did. I found me,” she said.

Bianca’s birthday was also celebrated by her boyfriend, Ruru Madrid, who expressed his gratitude and love for her through a Facebook post.

“Hindi lang ngayon kita mahal. Hindi lang kahapon. Hindi lang sa mga araw na madali. Mahal kita sa lahat ng panahon—sa tahimik, sa gulo, sa saya at sa pagsubok,” Ruru said.

Bianca just wrapped up her stint as Terra in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.”
