Tuesday Vargas emotional after first cruise ship performance following appeal for work
Tuesday Vargas turned emotional after performing on a Costa Serena cruise ship for the first time, a month after publicly asking for work on social media.
On Instagram, the comedienne shared that the opportunity came after she publicly said she was looking for a job.
Tuesday said that she was not "destitute," but is simply a "mother who is seeking an honest day's labor so I can continue to earn from performing, which is a passion of mine."
For her first performance aboard the cruise ship, she said that she couldn't help but cry tears of joy.
"In the middle of one song, I shed tears because I felt the Lord's presence on stage," she said.
"I know he was there with me, assuring me that he is a loving God and that he will always provide for those [who] remain faithful despite the many hardships we face," she added.
Tuesday said the performance marks the beginning of more shows overseas this year, sharing that she is set to perform in Canada, the United States, Europe, and Australia.
She ended her post with a message of encouragement to those facing struggles.
"So moral of the story is, whenever we feel like we have lost our battles, let's keep our heads high and ask the Lord for provisions," she said.
"Mabuhay ang mga lumalaban sa buhay," she added. "Padayon."
Previously, Tuesday shared a gig where she hosted a birthday party at a fast food restaurant.
Earlier in February, Tuesday appealed for work in a Facebook post and called on industry creatives.
In another post, she said she does not harbor ill feelings towards netizens calling her "laos," "attitude," and "'di mahusay."
"I asked nicely and with dignity. I was not looking for a handout, but instead an opportunity to use my skills that will produce income," she said.
Aside from hosting, Tuesday also sells luxury items, including bags. She is also a singer for the band The Bloomfields and hosts the podcast "The Tuesday Vargas Podcast."
