Jillian Ward to release new single she helped write

Jillian Ward is set to release new music!

On Tuesday, the Star of the New Gen shared that the song already had lyrics when it was first given to her, but she decided to make several changes so it would feel more personal.

"Ang ginawa ko, ni-revise ko 'yung ibang mga lyrics para mas ma-express ko talaga 'yung nararamdaman ko, mas ma-express ko 'yung sarili ko. So marami po akong naging revisions sa song na 'yon," Jillian said.

The Sparkle star said that singing allows her to express herself more freely compared to portraying characters in acting projects.

"'Pag nagpe-perform po ako or kumakanta ako, nae-express ko po talaga 'yung sarili ko, hindi character sa isang show," she said.

While she has yet to reveal more details about the track, Jillian encouraged fans to watch out for the upcoming release.

"Abangan n'yo na lang po 'yung song. Basta 'yung mga ni-revise kong lyrics do'n, 'yun 'yung nararamdaman ko," she said.

Aside from her new music, Jillian also shared that she has big plans for her career in the coming years as she continues to improve her skills as a performer.

"Sobrang dami po akong plans for this year and the next few years pa po. Siyempre gusto ko pong ma-challenge 'yung sarili ko in terms of acting. And I want to—kumbaga mag-grow pa po in terms of my performer side. Gusto ko po talaga na ma-master ko 'yung craft ko this year, so mas marami po akong mga ginagawang trainings. I'm planning to do more workshops, more classes, para po sa dancing, singing, and acting," she said.

Jillian lent her voice for the original soundtrack of her ongoing series "Never Say Die."

In 2024, she released her single "Be All Mine" about young love.

Jillian renewed her contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center. She has been with the network for 16 years now. —MGP, GMA Integrated News
