Fred Moser apologizes to Lella Ford over resurfaced livestream remark
Fred Moser has issued a public apology to fellow "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0" housemate Lella Ford after a clip from one of his past livestreams resurfaced online.
In a statement posted on X (formerly Twitter), Fred acknowledged that the comment he made during the livestream, recorded before he entered the PBB house, was inappropriate and described it as a "very bad joke."
"I would like to talk about the live clip with my friends that has been all over the internet," Fred began.
"The comment I made in that video was a very bad joke, and I am very sorry to have made such a comment. In hindsight, I realized it was not the right choice," he added.
The Kapamilya star expressed regret not only to Lella but also to her family and to those offended by the remark.
"I deeply regret what I said to the other person, Lella, in this case, her family, and to everyone who did not like to hear it. It was not my intention to look down upon anyone but I know that one may not write to take away the effects of what we say and that is where I am really sorry," he said.
"It was never my intention to disrespect anyone but I understand that intentions don't erase the impact of my words, and for that I am truly sorry," Fred wrote.
Fred added that the controversy prompted him to reflect on his actions and recognize the responsibility that comes with his growing public platform.
"I have reflected on it and I will improve upon it in the future. It is an experience that has been very reflective on my part, and I am feeling regretful every day," he said, adding that he understands he still has "a long way to go" in terms of personal growth.
The ex-PBB housemate also thanked supporters who continue to believe in his ability to learn from the mistake.
"I also wish to profusely thank all the people who have had faith in my development and all those who have been supporting me," Fred wrote.
"Your knowledge, support, and attitude to find good in people is more to me than you can imagine. I really love the people who will always stand by me as I learn and work with my mistakes and improve myself day by day."
Lella was hailed as the Kapamilya Big Winner, while Caprice Cayetano was the Kapuso Big Winner.
Meanwhile, Fred exited the PBB House in January, alongside Sparkle star John Clifford.
