Arron Villaflor speaks out on viral private video, files complaint for investigation

Arron Villaflor has formally addressed the viral private video controversy he's involved in, saying the matter has already been referred to authorities for investigation.

In an Instagram post, the actor and Tarlac 2nd District Board Member said that the recording and distribution of intimate content without consent is a violation of Republic Act No. 9995 "and other laws that protect individuals from digital abuse and violations of privacy."

He added that he is choosing not to speak further for now out of respect for the legal process.

“The matter has now been formally referred to the authorities for proper investigation. Out of respect for the legal process, I will refrain from making further comments while the investigation is ongoing,” he said.

Villaflor further clarified that his previous statement on February 27 referred only to old film clips taken from past projects, but the recent circulation of alleged private footage is a different matter.

He also condemned what he described as the “weaponization” of private content online.

“No person deserves to have their dignity violated in this way.”

The controversy erupted after an intimate video allegedly involving several personalities circulated online recently.

Nikko Natividad has since admitted his involvement and sought forgiveness from his family, while Gil Cuerva earlier said a video involving him was recorded without his knowledge or consent.
