'Tanghalan ng Kampeon' grand finalist Eula Bautista gives health update after fainting on stage

Eula Bautista is now in good condition after fainting during the “TiktoClock” segment, “Tanghalan ng Kampeon," on Tuesday. 

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," Wednesday, the singer gave an update on her health and what she felt moments before she fainted. 

“Ang naramdaman ko po is namanhid ‘yung lower body up to my arms, and hanggang sa umakyat po siya sa face po,” Eula recalled. 

"Dun po ako nag-worry sa sarili ko, wala na ko masyadong naririnig, parang everything is a blur. Tapos ang nasa isip ko na lang, baka na-s-stroke ako." 

According to Eula, the medic said that she fainted due to lack of oxygen. 

“Sabi po ng medic is lack of oxygen, possibly because of the corset that I was wearing,” Eula said, adding that she wore it for more than five hours, starting at stage rehearsal. 

"Gusto ko kung ano po 'yung magiging appearance ko sa TV, pina-practice ko na po siya beforehand. Stage rehearsal pa lang po naka six-inch heels na 'ko, naka corset na 'ko na dress. Even po 'yung one-on-one rehearsal with the coach, naka-corset pa rin po ako and ayun, sobrang haba po nung time na suot-suot ko siya." 

Eula has since undergone several tests to ensure she is in good health, including an electrocardiogram (ECG) and X-ray.

“Tomorrow, I have a consultation din po with psychiatrist just to make sure na everything is clear,” she said.

Eula reached the seventh round of the competition and wanted to compete until the 10th round, even though she is already part of the grand finals. 

“Nanghinayang po talaga ‘ko kasi minsan ka lang mabigyan ng chance na maging undefeated,” Eula said through tears.

“Kumbaga, gusto ko talaga siyang ilaban. This is not something that I cannot take for granted kasi bihira ‘to, this is a very rare opportunity. And of course I take all the responsibility po na nangyari po sa ‘kin kasi inabuso ko din po talaga ‘yung katawan ko,” she added.

Eula fainted mid-song on “Tanghalan ng Kampeon” on Tuesday.

The production team immediately assisted Eula and she reached a stable condition.
