Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, Carlene Aguilar celebrate son Calix's gold win in UAAP Fencing Tournament 

Jennylyn Mercado was present as husband Dennis Trillo's son with Carlene Aguilar, Calix Ho, took home a gold medal for the University of the Philippines at the UAAP Season 88 Fencing Tournament.

On Instagram Stories, Jennylyn posted a snap from Calix’s tournament at Makati Museum, and tagged the athlete.

The Kapuso actress also shared the joint Instagram post between the UP Maroon Club and Calix's mom Carlene, heralding the young athlete's win in the Men's Epee Individual Event. 

“Calix Ho delivers another GOLD for UP in the Men’s Epee Individual event of the UAAP Season 88 Fencing Tournament,” the caption read.

Meanwhile, an Instagram post of Utak Puso: UP Fighting Maroons showed snaps of Jennylyn, Dennis, and Carlene celebrating Calix's win. In one photo, Calix was seated on the floor, with his mom Carlene proudly wearing a UP Maroons jacket hugging him.

Calix has been joining fencing competitions with the support from both parents. In September 2025, Calix won first place in a fencing match with proud dad Dennis sharing his achievement on social media.
