Reggae musician Elias J TV to make acting debut in ‘Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre’

Reggae musician Elias J TV is set to make his acting debut in “Encantadia Chronicles: Sang’gre.”

According to Athena Imperial’s report on “24 Oras” on Friday, Elias will be playing a role with the same name in the Kapuso series.

“Hindi ko inaasahan na mag-guesting ako dito kaya ngayon proud na proud po ako sa sarili ko at naimbitahan ako nila,” Elias said.

“Proud pa rin ako at dinadala ko rin 'yung lenggwahe namin galing ng Mindanao,” he added.

This is Elias' first acting project, making it a memorable experience. 

“Habang tumatagal nasasanay na rin. Ok lang naman ‘yung pagsalita ng Tagalog, ‘yung expression lang ng mukha kung paano gagawin. Tinutulungan nila ako para maitawid lang din,” Elias shared.

Meanwhile, fellow cast members Jon Lucas and Prince Clemente said they enjoyed working with Elias.

“We’re working with Elias ngayon at natutuwa ako. Siyempre na-excite ako na makita siya at makasama. Kasi sa totoo lang, kahit ako, mahilig tayo sa social media ngayon, so nakikita natin 'yung mga clips niya, ‘yung mga videos niya,” Jon said.

“Tsaka for a first-timer na mag-act sa isang teleserye, magaling siya kasi ‘yung lines na-memorize niya lahat. ‘Yung emotions andoon,” Prince added.

Born Elias Lintucan in South Cotabato, the reggae artist is known for his blend of traditional and contemporary style. He fronts the band Elias J TV band, known for the songs “Lipad,” “Puhon,” and “Isayaw Mo Naman Ako.”

"Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8:05 p.m. after "24 Oras." You can also watch it online via the Kapuso Stream on YouTube.
