Zephanie, Michael Sager admit to having mutual crushes on each other

Zephanie and Michael Sager admitted that they had a mutual crush on each other.

On Tuesday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the Sparkle stars addressed long-standing rumors about their relationship, clarifying that they were never a couple despite public speculation.

"We get that question asked a lot, and talagang we were, to a certain limit na lang po, good friends. As much as people don't believe it," Michael said.

He added that they even reached a point where they called each other "twins" because of their similarities.

"But parang it just worked that way talaga. Some things are just meant to end that way and start that way," Michael said.

Zephanie echoed the same sentiments and said, "Super agree po talaga."

When asked directly if she ever fell for Michael, Zephanie admitted to having a crush on him.

"Feeling ko naman po normal na magka-crush ka…I mean, crush lang naman eh. Bakit? Masama ba 'yon? 'Di ba, Tito Boy? Tito Boy, bawal ba 'yun? Crush lang naman eh. Cute-cute lang naman. Sino ba naman pong hindi magka-crush ka sa ganitong kind ng lalaki?" she said.

Michael, for his part, said the feeling was mutual.

"Hindi mahirap maging crush si Zeph. I mean, napaka-talented. She's very pretty. So, there's come to a point na obviously, nagka-crush na naman… Crush lang po, hindi dating," he said.

Zephanie and Michael first worked together in "Sparkle U" in 2023. They are set to star together once again in the GMA Afternoon Prime series "Born to Shine."

The story follows Jennie (Zephanie) as she pursues her dream to become a P-pop idol despite her circumstances.
