Is Chanty Videla walking down the pageant runway soon?

On "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," Wednesday, the Filipino-Argentinian K-pop idol was asked if she has plans to join beauty contests.

"Actually, ang dami pong nagsasabi sa 'kin na bagay nga po sa 'kin to join," Chanty said.

"And gusto ko naman, willing po 'ko to try, pero I can see myself doing it later pa," she added.

In the same interview, Chanty addressed the status of her K-pop group Lapillus, saying that they are just waiting for the company's guidance.

Composed of Chanty, Shana, Yue, Bessie, Seowon, and Haeun, Lapillus debuted in 2022 with the song "Hit Ya!" That same year, Chanty signed with Sparkle.

Lapillus was among the artists who attended, won awards, and performed at the 2023 Asia Artist Awards held at the Philippine Arena last December.

Last April 2024, Chanty indefinitely postponed her activities with the group following struggles with her health.

Chanty is a celebrity dance star on this season of "Stars on the Floor" Season 2, which airs Sundays on GMA Network at 7:15 p.m. after "Bubble Gang." —Nika Roque/MGP, GMA Integrated News
