House of Mentorque issues statement on Ron Angeles' involvement in viral private video
House of Mentorque has released an official statement addressing the circulation of an intimate video involving one of its talents, Ron Angeles.
In a statement on Friday, the talent management company said that what Angeles thought to be a private encounter was recorded without his consent and was allegedly distributed and sold
"Let us be clear: this is not an isolated incident. Through coordination with authorities, we have uncovered that the individual involved is part of a larger, organized network engaged in the illegal recording, distribution, and exploitation of victims. This is a grave and deeply disturbing criminal enterprise," it said.
House of Mentorque noted that Angeles has since filed a complaint with the proper authorities and that they are resolute in seeing the case through.
"Ron Angeles has formally filed a complaint. We are fully committed to pursuing this case relentlessly until every individual involved is identified, held accountable, and brought to justice. We call on other victims to come forward. You are not alone. We are ready to support you and stand with you in seeking justice."
The agency has urged anyone with information that may help in the investigation to come forward.
"Your cooperation is critical in dismantling this operation and ending this cycle of abuse," it said
House of Mentorque reminded the public that sharing, reposting, or engaging with such content is against the law and is a punishable offense.
Moreover, the company noted that the individuals involved have suffered profound trauma, the effects of which have also affected their loved ones and communities.
"Let us all act responsibly on social media. The continued sharing and resale of these videos on messaging platforms is a punishable offense. We will pursue not only the perpetrators behind this operation, but also those who knowingly participate in the distribution of this illegal content," House of Mentorque said.
"As we observe Women’s Month, let this serve as a reminder: abuse and exploitation know no gender. It can happen to anyone. This must end. Help us stop this."
House of Mentorque's statement on Friday came after intimate videos allegedly involving several personalities circulated online recently.
Previously, Arron Villaflor formally addressed the viral private video controversy he's involved in, saying the matter has been referred to the proper authorities for investigation.
Nikko Natividad has also admitted his involvement and sought forgiveness from his family, whereas Gil Cuerva earlier said that a video involving him was recorded without his knowledge or consent.
