Dingdong Dantes recently went viral after posting a throwback of his character from the iconic ’90s youth-oriented show "TGIS" on TikTok, tugging at the hearts of ‘90s kids online.

In Nelson Canlas’ report in “24 Oras” on Tuesday, the Kapuso Primetime King said he is delighted over the reception to his throwback post about his beloved character, Iñaki Torres.

“Nakita ko nga eh. Sa TikTok parang ang daming ‘90s throwback na lumalabas. Nakakatuwa kasi siyempre maaalala mo ‘yung mga pinaggagagawa mo noon,” he said.

Reflecting on his early career, the actor noted how much he’s grown since those days, adding that reminiscing about the good old times is always a delightful experience.

“Siguro mas marami lang alam ngayon. So nakakatuwang balik-balikan kasi doon nagsimula ang lahat, lalo na sa ‘TGIS' when I started…that was almost 30 years ago. Ganoon na katagal, pero good times,” Dingdong shared.

As of this writing, the TikTok video has over two million views and 251,000 reactions on the platform.

Dingdong is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso series "Master Cutter," where he takes on several character disguises for his role.

According to the Kapuso actor, it is his first time taking on such a role and he is getting fit in preparation for it.

"Parang hindi ko pa nagawa sa isang series, pelikula man or teleserye 'yung ganoong nag-iiba-iba 'yung hitsura. So demanding siya at the same time very exciting para sa 'kin kasi siyempre imagine nakakapaglaro ako ng iba't-ibang character tapos para siyang acting within acting," Dingdong shared.

"Ang saya bilang isang performer, bilang isang actor na ganoon 'yung mga role na ginagampanan ko," he added.

"Master Cutter" will start streaming on Netflix on April 17 and will have its primetime debut on April 20.

The Kapuso actor also previously graced the runway for Randy Ortiz’s menswear collection, dubbed Randy O. Man. During the fashion show, his wife, Marian Rivera, was present to support him, which Dingdong is thankful for.

"Nagpapasalamat nga ako at sinuportahan niya ako kasi sabi ko, kinakabahan ako dahil hindi ko naman talaga gawain 'yung runway eh. Alam mo hindi naman talaga ako fashion model, 'di ba?" he said.
