Sanya Lopez says she studied Nihongo for 'Midnight Girls'
Sanya Lopez said she studied Nihongo to prepare for her role in the upcoming film "Midnight Girls."
In Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" on Tuesday, the Kapuso actress shared the preparations she did for her role in the movie.
"Kailanagan natin mag-aral ng Japanese. Isa 'yon. At the same time, working with them, siyempre nag-a-adjust din ako triny ko muna, kinapa ko muna kung paano sila magtrabaho pero grabe sila makisama," Sanya said.
"Super nag-enjoy din ako. Ang galing ng lahat. Talagang kailangan ko ring galingan. Kasi nga, kapag hindi natin ilalaban, paano tayo lalaban," she added.
According to Sanya, working on the film taught her valuable lessons both on set and in life.
"Isa sa mga natutunan ko ay ang pakikiasama with them. Tapos siyempre 'yung mas galingan pa sa trabaho natin," Sanya said.
"Siguro sa pelikula, ang natutunan ko ay kung paano ka lalaban sa sitwasyon ng buhay na mayroon ka kahit sino ka pa."
Directed by Irene Villamor, "Midnight Girls" stars Sanya alongside Jodi Sta. Maria, Loisa Andalio, and Jane Oineza. It tells the story of a group of entertainers in Japan who navigate the harsh realities of their job.
"Midnight Girls" will premiere in cinemas on May 13.
Sanya currently appears in "Encantadia Chronicles: Sang'gre" which airs on GMA Network from Mondays to Fridays at 8:05 p.m. after "24 Oras." —Jade Veronique Yap/MGP, GMA Integrated News
