Marian Rivera, Chanty bring nostalgia in 'Marimar' dance-off

Marian Rivera as Marimar will always and forever be iconic.

So seeing her dance to the "Marimar" theme song in the year 2026 is truly something else.

A wave of nostalgia swept across the “Stars on the Floor” stage as the Kapuso Primetime Queen joined celebrity dance star Chanty in a lively dance-off set to the tune of the “Marimar” theme song.

On Instagram, the dance reality series shared a clip of the two matching each other’s energy onstage as they grooved to the beat, Chanty was in a fiery red tango dress, while Marian, in a blush pink ensemble.

According to Wednesday’s episode of “Unang Balita,” Chanty got very flattered after Marian told her that she could pass as the next Marimar.

In 2024, Marian also brought back her iconic character in a TikTok dance video .

Marian and her husband, Dingdong Dantes , headlined the adapted series, which aired on GMA Network in 2007. The series is based on the 1994 Mexican drama of the same name.

In 2015, a reboot was aired starring Megan Young and Tom Rodriguez.
