‘Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0’ Kapuso housemates reflect on being last batch to use PBB house

The Kapuso housemates of “Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0” shared their heartfelt reactions when they learned that they would be the last to reside in the show’s original and iconic yellow house before its relocation.

On Wednesday afternoon, the Sparkle stars came together for a media conference where they called the experience both historic and emotional, marking the end of an era for one of Philippine television’s most recognizable settings.

“‘Yung feeling na kami po ‘yung last batch po na naka-stay po sa OG house ni Kuya, it's really an honor po kasi doon po nag-start lahat and I'm really happy in that na nakapag-stay po ako dun for the last time po,” Heath Jornales said.

“Siguro ako, both happy and sad, kasi syempre super grateful kami na we were the last batch to experience the OG house ni Kuya. But at the same time, I'm sure a lot of people wanted to experience it also. Pero sobrang excited naman ako para sa next batch na papasok kasi syempre, bagong experience kaya sobrang excited,” John Clifford said.

Marco Masa, for his part, highlighted how unexpected the opportunity was for him.

“It’s bittersweet, but for me, talagang sobrang blessed lang ako and lahat ng mga nakasama kong housemates dahil kami ‘yung naging last batch, and me, personally, I never expected na makapapasok pa ako sa Bahay ni Kuya. So, I'm just very grateful na na-experience ko ‘yan kasi isa siyang experience na once in a blue moon lang,” he said.

Lee Victor emphasized the privilege of being part of what he called a historic batch.

“Like what the boys said, what a privilege, it’s really an honor. ‘Yung binalita na ‘yung Collab 2.0 na ‘yung huling batch of the OG bahay ni Kuya, yeah, it's sad pero…I'm excited. Honestly, I'm excited din sa mga paparating din na housemates in the future,” he said.

Caprice Cayetano also reflected on the emotional weight of leaving behind a place she considers “very iconic.”

“Happy kasi naging part po kami ng isang very iconic na bahay and sad din kasi wala na kaming matuturo na bahay na ‘Do’n kami nakatira before.’ So nakaka-sad din pero happy and excited po kami para sa mga next na papasok sa Bahay ni Kuya and makikilala ni Kuya, at makikilala din nila si Kuya,” she said.

Ashley Sarmiento likewise underscored the impact of the original house, describing it as a place that has changed many lives.

“Now na nalaman po namin, I feel really happy na we got the opportunity po na makapasok po sa OG nga po na Bahay po ni Kuya, which changed so many lives, and we're so happy po na nakapag-create din po kami ng memories po namin doon sa loob ng Bahay ni Kuya. But I believe naman po na maganda rin po ‘yung magiging new beginning po ng Bahay ni Kuya para po sa susunod na batch. I feel really happy and grateful,” she said.

Princess Aliyah summed up the group’s collective sentiment, noting that they are honored to be the last batch to use the original house.

“We're very honored and very grateful na out of all the people, kami ‘yung mga housemates na napili to close this chapter. Sobrang happy lang din namin na naging part kami ng history,” she said.
