'Green Bones' shortlisted at 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards
“Green Bones,” which stars Dennis Trillo and Ruru Madrid, has earned another international recognition after being shortlisted at the 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards.
On Facebook, GMA Pictures announced that the movie advanced to the competition’s second round of judging, placing it among select entries from around the world.
“GMA Public Affairs and GMA Pictures’ Green Bones has been recognized internationally, landing on the shortlist for the 2026 New York Festivals TV & Film Awards,” the caption said.
Winners of the prestigious awards body are scheduled to be announced in April 2026.
"Green Bones" is the official entry of GMA Pictures to the 2024 MMFF, where it won several awards, including Best Actor for Dennis, Best Supporting Actor for Ruru, and Best Picture.
The film followed Xavier Gonzaga (Ruru), a young policeman determined to keep notorious criminal Domingo Zamora (Dennis) behind bars.
It became an official contender for the Philippines' 2026 Oscar entry.
“Green Bones” is streaming on Netflix.
