Shuvee Etrata gets dream collaboration with BJ Pascual

Shuvee Etrata is the latest muse of celebrity photographer BJ Pascual!

According to Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" on Tuesday, BJ personally offered Shuvee the opportunity to do a "Musings" photoshoot with him.

"I've been seeing her on her makeup artist's Instagram. Ang tagal ko nang walang 'Musings' actually. I rarely have time and hindi na rin ako masyado na-inspire," BJ said.

"Until na noong nakita ko 'yung mukha ni Shuvee, I was just like, Oh, she looks so Filipina, so fresh, so new," he added.

For Shuvee, the photoshoot was a dream collaboration come true.

"Sabi ko talaga, totoo ba 'to? Parang paano ako nakilala ni BJ? Feel ko ikaw lang gumagawa-gawa niyan. Hanggang sa totoo pala talaga," she said.

"Tapos gusto na ako makausap ni BJ. Tapos hindi ko na alam, parang ang bilis-bilis na nang pangyayari. Nag-book na kaagad si BJ ng isang napakalaking studio," Shuvee added.

The shoot, which quickly gained traction, showcased the Sparkle star in a concept inspired by the iconic muse "Sabel" from the works of National Artist BenCab.

"Si Shuvee talaga 'yung perfect na morena muse for the moment. She's young, she's fresh, she's very candidly. Authentic and very Filipino. Hindi niya kinakahiya kung saan siya nanggaling. And that's what makes her lovable," BJ said.

The photoshoot also highlighted pieces by renowned Filipino designer Rajo Laurel, whose Sabel-inspired creations complemented the theme.

"Noong sinuot ko talaga, sabi ko talaga paano ako ito ipo-pose? Parang noong sinuot ko pala, totoo ba ito? Takot na takot akong suot din. Kasi baka mapa'no or ma... As in, sobrang ingat na ingat ako," Shuvee said.

BJ also praised Shuvee for her professionalism during the shoot.

"That shoot was actually our first shoot. First time working together ever. And she's very easy, very comfortable. And hindi ko ina-expect na ganun pala siya kakalog in real life. And she's a joy to shoot. Parang siya professional," he said of Shuvee.

Shuvee also expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support and positive feedback online.

"Sobrang nakakaiyak, nakakakilig. Sobrang excited ako. And looking at the feedback of people, dun ako mas nasiyahan. BJ Pascual is known to be one of the most talented photographers in the industry. So, nandun na po talaga 'yung trust ko," Shuvee said.

"'Yung parang alam kong kahit anong mangyari, magiging maganda 'to. Nandun ako sa feeling na I'm just really excited. Ma-consider lang na as her muse, okay na ako," she added. 

A renowned celebrity photographer, BJ is known for working with celebrities such as Heart Evangelista,  Anne Curtis, and Pia Wurtzbach.

Meanwhile, Shuvee is set to star in the upcoming Kapuso series "Master Cutter" alongside Dingdong Dantes and Max Collins.

The "Master Cutter" will have its primetime debut in May.
