Jo Berry excited, nervous about return to primetime for 'The Master Cutter'

Jo Berry has mixed feelings about her return to primetime with "The Master Cutter."

According to Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras" on Wednesday, the Kapuso actress is feeling both nervous and excited.

"Sobrang layo po neto sa lahat ng nagawa ko and it's very physically challenging talaga sa akin," Jo said.

"Excited din ako kasi ngayon ko palang nakikilala 'yung character ko as Ame," she added. "Dahil nga physical talaga 'yung character ko, nakikita ko din dito kung hanggang saan kaya ng katawan ko."

Jo also said that her role is close to her personal advocacies, so we will truly give it her all.

"As a boxer po dito si Ame, and marami pong ipapakita dito na sana kapulutan ng aral na hindi dapat ganun ang gawing trato sa mga little people," Jo said.

Moreover, Max Collins will be portraying an island girl in the series, a role that is "very close to home."

"I lived in Boracay 'di ba. I went to Palawan for a while to immerse," Max said. "Before nag-taping kami sa Bataan, I wanted to be in the beach na para mas natural for me the feeling of tan and I can do grounding."

Max said "The Master Cutter" will be filled with emotions.

"Lahat kami, we have a mix of everything. Yes, there's a little bit of action, there's romance, there's comedy din, a lot of drama. So lahat, kumpleto talaga for the whole family."
