Mariz Umali turns emotional at BTS 'Arirang' concert in Seoul: 'Truly a dream come true'
Mariz Umali was all sorts of overwhelmed after attending BTS’ “Arirang” concert in Goyang, South Korea.
On Facebook, the Kapuso journalist shared her excitement and gratitude as she witnessed the global supergroup’s world tour kickoff.
“This is truly a dream come true!!! Naluluha ako!!!” she wrote.
She reflected on the rare opportunity to not only see BTS live but also be part of what she described as a historic moment for the group and their fans worldwide.
“Thank You so much, Lord, for this opportunity—not just to see BTS complete in person, but to witness history unfold as the worldwide phenomenal boyband makes their comeback here in Goyang, South Korea!”
Umali was accompanied by her husband and fellow journalist, Raffy Tima.
“Thank you, mahal @raffytima , for being with me in this! Kamsahamnida, BTS! Saranghae!!!” she said.
BTS kicked off their much awaited world tour on a rainy Thursday night, their first in six years.
The band performed all songs from "Arirang" barring "One More Night," along with some old favorites and hits, opening the show with "Hooligan" and ending it with "Into the Sun."
Also present at the concert were Shaira Diaz and Megan Young.
The "Arirang" world tour will have over 80 dates, spanning 34 regions across five continents.
BTS is scheduled to hold a show in the Philippines in 2027.
