Derrick Monasterio to play titular role in 'Ibarra the Musical'
Derrick Monasterio is set to make a theatre return in June!
According to Sparkle, the Kapuso actor will be playing the titular role of Ibarra in the upcoming stage musical “Ibarra the Musical.”
“Derrick Monasterio steps into the spotlight for ‘Ibarra the Musical,’” Sparkle said on X.
Directed by Frannie Zamora, the musical is based on Jose Rizal’s novel “Noli Me Tangere.”
Derrick currently stars in the Kapuso Afternoon Prime drama "Apoy Sa Dugo," with real life partner Elle Villanueva and Ashley Ortega.
It airs at 4:05 p.m. on GMA Network.
