Atom Araullo meets 'Itom Araullo' in Ormoc City, Leyte

The meeting of two "Atoms" were met with cheers and laughter as the event seemed like an episode in an "Atom multiverse."

In the report of Mariz Umali on "State of the Nation" Wednesday, Kapuso broadcast journalist Atom Araullo was able to meet Ormoc City's "Itom Araullo."

The co-workers and friends of Adrian Rebosto Justo, a staff member at the Mayor's office, were the ones who noticed that he resembled the Kapuso news presenter.

A shy person, it was his coleagues who called him 'Itom' — the Visayan word for dark — or the darker version of Atom.

Atom was in Ormoc as the Keynote Speaker of the 2026 National Schools Press Conference. His trip to the city was the opportunity for the "two Atoms" to meet.
