OPM artist Hev Abi arrested in QC after illegal firearms, drugs search
OPM artist Hev Abi, Gabriel Abilla in real life, was arrested early Tuesday morning, the Philippine National Police - Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) said Thursday.
Based on a police report, the 24-year-old rapper was apprehended along with six people during Oplan Paglalansag Omega in Barangay Laging Handa, Diliman.
Police were serving a search for violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act and Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Seized during the operation were a Taurus G3 9mm pistol, one magazine, and 15 rounds of live ammunition. The items were inventoried and properly marked at the scene.

Also recovered were 11 cartridges containing suspected liquid marijuana, four sealed transparent plastic containing powder suspected to be cocaine, and paraphernalia containing suspected marijuana.
CIDG-National Capital Region (CIDD-NCR) chief Police John Guiagui said the seized substances tested positive for methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu, marijuana, and cocaine.
Additional tests on the items are still pending.
“Actually yung cocaine, yung white powder, positive yun. We are waiting for the other. But based on the result ng ibinigay sa atin ng Forensic Group, positive yung ating mga nahuli sa methamphetamine hydrochloride at tsaka marijuana,” he told reporters in an interview.
He noted that the search warrant was primarily for firearms but illegal drugs were discovered during the operation.
“Hindi naman yun yung subject ng search warrant natin. Nataon lang po during that time na pag-serve natin ng search warrant nandoon yung mga suspected illegal drugs,” Guiagui said. — LA, GMA News
