BINI continues to break barriers on the global stage!
The Nation's Girl Group received the Global Force Award at the Billboard Women in Music Awards 2026 held at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles.
The award was presented by supermodel Cara Delevingne, who praised the group’s rise during the pandemic and their growing international impact.
“Their combination of sweetness, sparkle, and sisterhood broke through the screens,” Cara said.
She also highlighted BINI’s fanbase, Blooms, saying they have consistently supported the group from “packing the massive Philippine arena this past December to cheering [them all] at their recent Coachella debut.”
In their acceptance speech, BINI expressed gratitude and pride in representing Filipino talent on a global stage.
“Standing here tonight is something we, BINI, could only dream about,” Colet said. “We are deeply honored to be given a chance to represent Filipino music and artists back home.”
Fellow member Sheena also delivered a message of encouragement for young fans watching around the world.
“We hope that we also inspire young girls watching this and they realize that their dreams are also valid, no matter where they come from,” she said.
“We accept this award not just as BINI but more importantly, as proud Filipinas,” she added. “Maraming salamat at mabuhay ang musikang Pilipino.”
The Global Force Award spotlights artists “who have built audiences beyond their home markets.”
Meanwhile, during a red-carpet interview at the event, Sheena said the award “means a lot” to them as a Filipino group.
“[It] is a reminder for us that these eight women can stand in any stage, and we hope that we have opened more doors for more Filipino artists,” she said.
BINI’s appearance at the Billboard Women in Music Awards 2026 came on the heels of their performances at the GRAMMY Museum and at Coachella, where they made history as the first all-Filipino girl group to perform at the festival. —Hermes Joy Tunac/JCB, GMA News
