Ron Angeles, Andre Cue open up on video controversy
Ron Angeles and Andre Cue addressed the circulating private videos involving them and other personalities on Thursday's "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda."
Sharing their accounts, reactions, and beliefs about how the recordings may have been made and spread, the two actors both expressed belief that a coordinated group could be behind the circulation of the videos.
“Yes, Tito, 100%. "I mean biktimahin ‘yung mga lalaki na may pangalan or ‘yung nasa industriya. So I think mayroon pang ibang tao na nasa likod nila."
“Kasi madami po kami eh," Andre added. "Madami at iba-iba po. Parang grupo po sila. Parang sa palagay ko."
The two reflected on their own involvement, with Ron admitting impulsiveness in his decisions.
“Kasalanan ko na kumbaga pabugso-bugso ako ng damdamin that time,” Ron said.
For Andre, he considers trusting others a mistake.
Both clarified they were single when the incident happened.
Ron’s story
Ron narrated in detail how he felt when he arrived at the location, saying his instincts were already warning him. He said he was introduced to the girl by a friend.
“Parang crush daw po ako. Fan ko daw po siya ever since. So parang nag-invite lang naman po sa condo niya,” he said.
Ron described questioning the sudden progression of events once they entered the room.
Parang 'di mo man lang ba ako kausap? Or bakit ka nagmamadali?’” Ron recalled.
Despite his discomfort, Ron admitted he did not stop the situation from continuing.
When others’ videos started coming out, Ron said he confronted his friend as he recognized the room seen in the videos.
Ron’s friend claimed he was unaware of what would happen.
“Ako po, parang hindi po ako naniniwala sa kanya,” Ron said, adding he plans to sue his friend should he decline to cooperate.
Andre’s story
For his part, Andre traced his interaction to an online introduction that began with fitness-related messaging.
“Naghahanap daw po siya ng personal coach. Then ako — I'm into fitness din po. So, na-interested po ako. Nagkaroon ako ng interest," he said.
Not one to reply to messages from strangers, Andre said they only exchanged messages three times.
When they eventually agreed to meet, he said he went to the location after renewed communication.
Andre estimates talking for 20 to 30 minutes, but when asked about their conversation, he had already forgotten the details she shared.
What he couldn't forget was the strange sticker he saw on the TV. “Nagdududa po ako dun sa—May TV po kasi, Tito Boy, na may sticker na lion. ‘Yung TV na box siya, old type na TV. Tapos may sticker na lion. Doon ako nawi-weirdohan,” he said.
Per Andre, the girl he met was a different woman from those seen in other videos leaked earlier.
Andre is likewise leaving the matter in the hands of legal counsel.
Personal toll
On Thursday's episode, Ron also spoke about the personal toll of the circulating videos, saying it has affected his daily life and sense of security.
“‘Yung social anxiety po. Kumbaga parang ‘pag nasa labas ka, yeah, maraming nagpapa-picture, maraming tumatawag, pero hindi ko alam kung bakit,” he said, adding he has been receiving indecent proposals.
He is also concerned about his safety and that of his family.
Andre, meanwhile, said he is focusing on moving forward through acceptance.
“Ang pinaka-importante siguro is acceptance po. Because without acceptance, growth won't be possible po.
