Janine Berdin drew attention from Demi Lovato and Lauren Jauregui after she shared a recent performance of her original song, “What If I Miss You for the Rest of My Life?”

On Instagram, the Filipina singer-songwriter posted a clip of herself singing on the Wish Bus, and revealed the unusual story behind writing the song.

“I wrote this song while sh1tting on the toilet & now I got to sing it on the Wish Bus,” she wrote.

The post quickly caught the attention of Demi, who left a brief but enthusiastic reaction in the comments.

“Holy shit,” the American singer commented.

Clearly overwhelmed by Demi’s reaction, Janine replied with a heartfelt message, sharing how the pop star inspired her growing up.

“I SING AND WRITE BECAUSE I GREW UP WANTING TO BE JUST LIKE YOU,” Janine said.

“I CANT BELIEEVE YOU HEARD ME SING IN THIS LIFETIME……. I used to be just a kid from Cebu Philippines and now im also signed to island records PH. thank you thank you thank you ms demi i love you i cant fit my love in one comment i love you ms demi…salamat kaayo madam,” she added.

Former Fifth Harmony member Lauren Jauregui also praised Janine’s vocals.

“Siiiing,” she commented.

Janine is known for her song "Sitwasyonship." She also collaborated with Adie on the song "Mahika" and with Arthur Nery on "Mikasa."

Recently, she performed the official anthem of MPL Philippines Season 17 titled “Palag Na 'To.”
