Will Ashley to headline upcoming Kapuso series 'Delivery Boi'

Will Ashley is set to headline a new Kapuso series!

The Sparkle star was officially introduced as the lead star of "Delivery Boi" during the upcoming show’s story conference on Friday. This is Will's first solo lead role.

During a media interview, Will admitted that he felt nervous taking on the major role, especially since it marks a new milestone in his career following his stint inside "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 1.0."

“Parang ngayon na lang po ako kinabahan nang ganito simula noong lumabas ako sa Bahay ni Kuya,” he shared.

“Pero sobrang grateful po ako, lalo na noong nalaman ko ang istorya kung bakit ako napili bilang si Boi. Habang nasa loob pa lang ako ng Bahay [ni Kuya], na-dibs na pala ako para sa role.”

The actor also expressed his gratitude to GMA Network for trusting him with the project and giving him the opportunity to continue working with the network where he started.

“Nakakatuwa po na makatrabaho ulit ang GMA at makabalik sa bahay na pinagsimulan ko,” he said. “Sobrang excited po ako na gawin ang proyektong ito.”

Despite the pressure that comes with his first solo lead role, Will said he is determined to give his best and embrace the opportunity to grow as an actor.

“Gagawin ko ‘yung best ko para dito at grabe ‘yung pressure na nararamdaman ko kasi first lead serye ko itong ‘Delivery Boi.' I’m so grateful po talaga sa trust po ninyo. Alam ko pong magiging masaya ito and panibagong experience. Napakarami ko na namang matututunan sa iba’t-ibang tao,” he said.

Aside from Will, “Delivery Boi” will also star Eric Quizon, Maricar De Mesa, Keempee De Leon, Meryll Soriano, Vince Maristela, and Mikoy Morales, among others.

Directed by Dominic Zapata, “Delivery Boi” follows Boi (Will Ashley), a street-smart delivery rider who unknowingly inspires fellow riders through quiet acts of kindness despite life’s challenges and relationship troubles. Driven by truth, he sets out to unite the rider community and claim his rightful place.
