'Never Say Die' ends with Tomas' downfall, new undercover mission
The action-packed series finale of “Never Say Die” delivered shocking twists, emotional reunions, and a thrilling setup for a possible continuation.
The finale opened with the long-awaited arrest of Tomas, portrayed by Richard Yap, who was finally exposed as a member of a powerful syndicate.
The high-risk operation was carried out with the help of Andrew (David Licauco), Joey (Jillian Ward), Peter (Raheel Bhryia), and Jin Ho (Kim Ji Soo), who all worked together to bring Tomas down.
Following the successful mission, the four celebrated with Joey and Andrew having an emotional heart-to-heart conversation in the end.
In their talk, Andrew apologized for his past mistakes and gave Joey a bracelet as a symbol of his feelings.
“Kapag next time na kita natin at suot-suot mo pa ‘to, it will mean something to me,” Andrew told her.
Andrew also returned to his radio program “Tirada Express,” where he reminded his listeners of his unwavering commitment to truth and justice.
“Hangga’t may katotohanang kailangang ilabas, tuloy ang tirada. Fact check pa more,” he said during the broadcast.
Several months later, Joey revealed in a vlog that she had already graduated and was now preparing for a new chapter in her life. Inspired by her father Miguel (Raymart Santiago), Joey shared that she dreams of becoming a police officer.
Meanwhile, Tomas faced a grim fate behind bars. While vowing revenge from inside prison, the former syndicate member got involved in a violent altercation with a fellow inmate and was stabbed during the fight.
The finale later shifted to a lighter and more hopeful tone as Andrew and Joey reunited in a park a year later.
The two exchanged updates about their lives, with Joey proudly showing Andrew her police badge while still wearing the bracelet he had given her.
However, the touching reunion quickly turned into another shocking moment when Peter and Jin Ho suddenly arrived.
The finale revealed that the three of them — Joey, Jin Ho, and Peter — had been working undercover for a new mission involving a dangerous Korean drug lord, teasing another high-stakes adventure ahead. —CDC, GMA News
