Sophia Laforteza gushes over meeting Hilary Duff at American Music Awards 2026: 'Love you, my queen'

For Sophia Laforteza, meeting Hilary Duff was definitely one of the highlights of the American Music Awards 2026.

On Instagram Stories, Sophia reposted Hilary's IG photo with Katseye at the awards ceremony in Las Vegas. The Disney icon was the one to present Katseye their first-ever American Music Award.

"It's an honor to have you present our award," Sophia wrote. "Love you, my queen."

The Filipina singer also commented on Hilary's post: "You're the best."

Katseye won the New Artist of the Year at the AMAs, and performed their latest single "Pinky Up" during the star-studded event.

In her acceptance speech, Sophia gave a special shoutout to labelmate BTS "for inspiring us to represent our culture on a global scale."

Katseye debuted in 2024 under HYBE Labels.

Among their hits include "Gnarly," "Gabriela," and "Touch."

Meanwhile, Hilary Duff is iconic for playing the lead role in the Disney TV series "Lizzie McGuire," and its successful movie, "The Lizzie McGuire Movie."

Aside from her hit Disney songs such as "What Dreams Are Made Of," Hilary is also behind the popular songs "So Yesterday" and "Come Clean."
