Marian Rivera proud of 'Stars on the Floor' Season 2 cast

Marian Rivera is one happy and proud judge of "Stars on the Floor" Season 2.

In an interview before the grand finals, the head of the Dance Authority said she did not focus on her own expectations of their performances, but on the dancers' journeys.

"Nakita ko nag-e-enjoy sila. Nakita namin paano 'yung proseso hanggang ngayong finals. So nakaka-proud na alam mo 'yun, naging magkaibigan silang lahat, nakabuo sila ng pamilya," Marian said.

"At the same time, nakabigay sila ng inspirasyon sa bawat isa, kasi para sa 'kin 'yun 'yung mahalaga eh," she added.

Marian said that although "Stars on the Floor" is a contest, the contestants got a lot from it outside of dancing.

"Nabuhayan sila, tinupad nila 'yung mga pangarap nila. 'Yung mga hindi sumasayaw, nagiging sumasayaw. 'Yung mga nawalan ng pag-asa, nagkaroon ng pag-asa. So ang gandang panoorin ng journey nilang lahat," the Kapuso Primetime Queen added.

Marian is also happy that their journeys won't end on the talent show.

"Dun ako excited, na mag-shine ang isa bawat isa sa kanila," she said.

"Stars on the Floor" Season 2 aired its finale on Sunday, May 31. The dance duo of Sugar Mercado and Hori7on's Jeromy were declared the champions. They faced Chanty Videla and Alamat's Jao in the final dance battle.

Other duos in the competition were Rocco Nacino and Kaia's Sofia, Paul Salas and Calista's Denise, and Jasmine Curtis-Smith and 1st.One's Joker. —MGP, GMA News
