Ashley Ortega proud of 'Apoy sa Dugo' as series nears final taping day
Ashley Ortega is proud of "Apoy sa Dugo" now that the series is set to wrap up its taping, though she admitted she is also sad to part ways with her co-stars and production team.
In Aubrey Carampel's report on "24 Oras" Wednesday, the Sparkle actress shared that she had already formed a strong bond with her co-stars and production crew.
“Talagang nakabuo na rin ako ng relationship with the cast and production. Lagi ko silang nakikita,” she said.
“So I’m happy, but at the same time I’m sad kasi siyempre ang tagal din ng pinagsamahan naming lahat. But again, I’m just really happy and so proud of ‘Apoy sa Dugo,’” she added.
Recent episodes also revealed that Ashley’s character Angel is actually Kiara. Kiara stole the identity of her sister Angel, whom she accidentally killed.
Kiara had a traumatic childhood, where she was hurt by her parents and left by her sister. She spent her whole life looking for love, and her trauma has affected her thinking and attitude.
According to Ashley, she just discovered the plot twist during the week they were shooting the episode.
“I wasn’t aware, so pati ako nagulat din tulad ng mga viewers,” Ashley said.
“Ito yung mga hilig ko rin kasi na mga genre ng movies and shows, ‘yung plot twist na hindi mo in-e-expect,” she added.
“Apoy sa Dugo” airs Mondays to Fridays at 4:05 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.
