Golden Cañedo is a proud nursing graduate
Golden Cañedo has just graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. Congratulations!
On social media, the first-ever winner of GMA's talent show "The Clash" shared her graduation photos and said it was a result of her decision to pursue "dreams the spotlight."
Golden began her caption saying many people have been asking her why she isn't on TV anymore.
But the Cebuana singer said "life leads us to different paths, and sometimes growth means choosing a new journey."
"Entertainment gave me unforgettable experiences and amazing people, but I also had dreams beyond the spotlight that I chose to pursue," Golden said.
"Today, I'm proud to share a new milestone— my graduation," she added, as she said her diploma didn't come easy.
"Beyond this diploma are sacrifices, sleepless nights, tears, and prayers. Nursing student by day, singer by night. There were tough days but I kept going and trusted God's plan," Golden said.
In her post, she thanked her family for their support and their presence.
"This isn't the end of a dream, but the start of a new one," Gold said.
In 2022, a 20-year-old Golden also took to social media to share photos from the capping and pinning ceremony, declaring her pride in being an aspiring nurse.
She graduated from senior high school in 2021.
In 2018, Golden became the first-ever The Clash champion.
