Kaye Abad gets pink ribbon tattoo as she celebrates Cancer Survivors Month
Kaye Abad, who recently revealed that she battled breast cancer, got a pink ribbon tattoo as she celebrates Cancer Survivors Month this June.
On Instagram, Cebu-based tattoo studio 032 Tattoo shared photos and a video clip of the actress getting a small pink ribbon tattoo on her right rib cage.
The pink ribbon is a universal symbol of breast cancer awareness and support.
"So grateful to do this tattoo. This ribbon stands for the quiet battles and victories of a cancer survivor. Thank you, [Paul Jake Castillo] and [Kaye Abad] for trusting me and [032 Tattoo]," said 032 Tattoo owner and tattoo artist Chow Abinales in the caption.
Kaye also shared 032 Tattoo's post on her Instagram Stories.
This week, she marked Cancer Survivors Month by sharing a photo of herself with her arms spread wide, along with a message for fellow survivors.
"We celebrate every survivor, every scar, every silent battle, every tear, every prayer, and every victory," Kaye wrote in her caption. "What we went through was never easy, but here we are… still fighting, still standing, still choosing hope."
"To everyone who continues this journey, know that your strength inspires more people than you realize."
It was in May when Kaye opened up about her breast cancer journey on her 44th birthday, sharing that she was now cancer-free. In the vlog, she said that she found out she had breast cancer following a mammogram in January 2025.
The vlog also showed her medical journey, which included her consultations and treatments that were all done in Singapore.
According to the Asian Breast Cancer, one in four Filipino women get breast cancer, making it the top cancer among Filipinas in terms of incidence.
