Ellen Adarna shares Annette Gozon-Valdes was the one who discovered her

Did you know that GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes was the one who discovered Ellen Adarna?

In Ellen's recent “Kuan On One” guesting hosted by Melai Cantiveros, Ellen recalled her early days in showbiz.

According to Ellen, she first appeared in the Kapuso network’s longest-running comedy show, “Bubble Gang.”

“Diyan ka naman talaga magsisimula 'di ba? Sa ‘Bubble Gang,’” Ellen said in Bisaya.

Melai then asked Ellen who discovered her, to which she answered, “Hindi ko alam.”

She then asked her manager, Van, who answered, “Pinahanap ka ni Ms. Annette.”

“Ay pinahanap ako. ‘Yun pala. Oo nga, pinahanap ako ni Ms. Annette. Hi, Ms. Annette!” Ellen said.

Although Ellen was young when she entered showbiz, the actress said she enjoyed her time in the limelight.

“Na-enjoy ko rin naman. Marami akong nakilala. Alam mo ‘yun? Bata pa lang kasi ako nun. You want to meet a lot of people, explore. So masaya siya at that time of my life,” she shared.

In April, Atty. Annette shared via Instagram a photo of herself sharing a meal with Ellen, Ellen’s ex-boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz, and Sparkle GMA Artist Center Assistant Vice President Tracy Garcia.

"Ending the work week with exciting conversations," she wrote in the caption.

As a Kapuso actress, Ellen appeared in numerous TV shows and movies on GMA Network, including “Captain Barbell: Ang Pagbabalik,” “Alice Bungisngis and her Wonder Walis,” and “Indio,” among others.
