These are the things Claudine Barretto, Boy2 Quizon, Vandolph Quizon learned from Dolphy

Claudine Barretto, Boy2 Quizon and Vandolph Quizon shared the lessons they learned from the late Dolphy.

The stars of “Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion” guested in “Fast Talk With Boy Abunda” on Friday, where they talked about their reunion movie and remembered the Comedy King.

According to Claudine, she learned the value of professionalism from Dolphy.

“Sinabi ni Tatay 'to: 'when you meet a person anak, tandaan mo mayroon ka dapat impact na naiiwan sa taong ‘yon. You have to make them feel special',” she said.

Vandolph, Dolphy’s son with Alma Moreno, added humility was the most important lesson he learned from his father.

“Of course I grew up with my dad ever since. Pero pinaka number one na tinuro sa akin ng tatay ko is humility. Always keep your feet on the ground, kahit saan ka magpunta,” he said.

Meanwhile, Boy2, Dolphy’s grandson, echoed the same values of humility and gratitude, adding the importance of good relationships with others.

“Grounded. Kasi si Lolo laging ganoon eh. Always be grateful, grounded. Tapos important din ‘yung kailangan mo ring makisama,” he said.

Claudine and Vandolph were part of the original cast of the '90s hit sitcom “Home Along Da Riles” which starred Dolphy and Nova Villa.

It follows the daily struggles and misadventures of the Cosme family, a tight-knit and optimistic urban poor family headed by Kevin (Dolphy), living in a modest home beside the railroad tracks in the Philippines.

The show ended in 2003, and 23 years later, the stars reunited for the movie, “Home Along Da Riles: Da Reunion” directed by Boy2 himself.

It will premiere in cinemas on June 17. — LA, GMA News
