Maxie Andreison, Viñas Deluxe to play lead role in 'Die Beautiful: The Musical'

Maxie Andreison and Viñas Deluxe are Trisha!

The Filipino drag artists are set to portray the lead role in "Die Beautiful: The Musical," IdeaFirst Company announced on Instagram.

"Bringing Trisha to life on stage requires a rare kind of magic," writer Jun Robles Lana said.

"For the musical, the role will require an artist who can navigate comedy and drama, deliver powerful vocals, and embody Trisha's journey with truth, charisma, and emotional depth," added director Tuxqs Rutaquio.

"Die Beautiful: The Musical" opens this month at the Proscenium Theater in Makati City.

"Die Beautiful," the film, premiered in 2016 and starred Paolo Ballesteros as Trisha. The film followed her journey as a Filipina transgender woman and her life as a beauty queen.

Meanwhile, Viñas competed in the first season of "Drag Race Philippines" in 2022, where she placed seventh.

She also competed in " Drag Race Philippines: Slaysian Royale ," where she was the runner-up. Viñas is part of the drag group, Divine Divas .

Maxie won "Drag Race Philippines" in 2024. She has since established a music career and is one of the performers of this year's LoveL4ban .
