The stars of “You’re My Favorite Song” shared the lessons they learned from their dads ahead of Father’s Day.

According to Nelson Canlas’ report in “24 Oras” on Friday, Caprice Cayetano said her dad, renowned Filipino chef Jorge Mendez, always tells him to choose what will make her happy.

“Laging sinasabi ni daddy sa akin na always choose the path na magpapasaya sayo,” she said.

Meanwhile, Heath Jornales’ father, action star Michael Roy taught his son the value of work, life and balance.

“Kailangan marunong kayong mag-balance ng time sa work, sa regular personal life, sa video games, sa talents, sa skills, kailangang ma-balance niyo lahat ‘yon at hindi kayo babad sa isang part lang palagi,” Heath shared.

Clifford shared that his father always taught him the importance of selflessness and caring for others.

“He also taught me na kailangan kong alagaan ‘yung mga friends ko, ‘yung mga tao na nasa paligid ko. He really taught me na kahit sa mga friends ko kailangang maging loving and caring,” Clifford shared.

For Marco Masa, one lesson that has stayed with him is the importance of being organized and proactive.

“One of the things na tumatak sa akin is ‘yung pagiging masinop. Pagiging maagap sa mga bagay-bagay kasi ‘yung simpleng habit na ‘yon ang laki ng nagiging epekto niya sa day-to-day lives.”

Meanwhile, Lee Victor credited his hardworking uncles for teaching him the value of diligence.

“I really look up to that man ‘yung uncle ko. Actually ‘yung dalawang uncle ko, very hardworking sila pareho. Siguro they just always remind me na huwag maging tamad.”

Cloud 7 member Kairo Lazarte, on the other hand, said his father instilled in him the importance of kindness.

“It’s better to be kind than to be right,” he recalled.

For Waynona Collings and Andrei Fajardo, their fathers taught them resilience and perseverance.

“My dad has taught me it’s ok to feel sad, it’s ok to feel so tired and broken, and he taught me to remember to come back and really fight,” Waynona said

Andrei echoed a similar sentiment, saying, “He always tells me na laban lang, it’s ok to get out of your comfort zone. When you get uncomfortable, just fight.”

"You're My Favorite Song" is set to be directed by JP Habac, who is known for the film "I'm Drunk, I Love You."

The series is an original concept by Mark Ivan Caro. It will be written by Erwin Caezar Bravo, who is behind the hit primetime series "Black Rider" and "My Ilonggo Girl."

"You're My Favorite Song" will air on GMA Network this year.
